The crowd rose to their feet as Fenix's Bonifacio Bernaldo slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Prospero Laffitte. That made the score 1-1 after 28 minutes of play. Fenix's Bonifacio Bernaldo got a good chance for a goal in the 36th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Bonifacio Bernaldo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Prospero Laffitte made an important save on a dangerous shot by Bonifacio Bernaldo in the 40th minute. Prospero Laffitte came out of the goal in the 41st minute to try and stop a shot by Fenix's Ambrosio Urritz. But to his dismay, Ambrosio Urritz quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. In the 46th minute, Nereo Blasi left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The jazdelisa fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 2-2 after a close first half.

When Ambrosio Urritz came up free with the goalie in the 84th minute, the Fenix fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ambrosio Urritz couldn't finish the play.
