After the first half Piedritas United were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Conrado Errolan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Baltasar Pedroso having to interfere. In the 57th match minute, CA San Martín de Tucumán was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Patricio Leoiar to maneuver through the defense. In the 59thth minute of the game Ceferino Cordara who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but CA San Martín de Tucumán's Baltasar Pedroso was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Ceferino Cordara had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 96th match minute, Piedritas United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Modesto Millano to maneuver through the defense. After recieving a nice pass, CA San Martín de Tucumán's Cristo Rivero tried to score from far away in the 97th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. When the match was over Piedritas United could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than CA San Martín de Tucumán throughout the match.
