In the 12th minute, Ceferino Cordara got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Braulio Burni fell near the penalty area in the 14th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Piedritas United's protests and gave Braulio Burni a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Piedritas United's Braulio Burni got a free kick in the 14th minute. Fidel Joseph came out of the goal in the 22nd minute to try and stop a shot by Piedritas United's Amador Osorio. But to his dismay, Amador Osorio quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Leo Damario showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Astor Frances in the 25th minute of the match. Fidel Joseph didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 26th minute, which inside left pole to 2-0. In the 30th minute, lanus fc's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Ceferino Cordara fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. A collision led to Piedritas United getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Amador Osorio hit a great ball. 39 minutes into the match, lanus fc's Severiano Segio sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Leo Damario narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Conrado Errolan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Fidel Joseph made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ceferino Cordara in the 42nd minute of play. 44 minutes into the match, lanus fc's goalkeeper Fidel Joseph had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Conrado Errolan. If Ceferino Cordara had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ceferino Cordara was the one to do the kick off. In the 52nd minute, Braulio Burni hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ceferino Cordara fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fidel Joseph having to interfere. If Ceferino Cordara had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 61 minutes into the game, Israel Ibar was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. lanus fc's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Piedritas United the free kick. Ceferino Cordara received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Fidel Joseph tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Piedritas United's zone, Severiano Segio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Leo Damario came out of the goal and Severiano Segio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ceferino Cordara in the 67th minute of play forced lanus fc's goalkeeper Fidel Joseph to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Conrado Errolan charged in rather forcefully in the 74th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Conrado Errolan the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After some fancy dribbling in the 80th minute, Amador Osorio managed to get in a good position for a shot. Piedritas United's supporters rose to their feet, but Amador Osorio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fidel Joseph breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, lanus fc's Dionisio Ubarna got a free kick in the 83rd minute. When Severiano Segio fell near the penalty area in the 85th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored lanus fc's protests and gave Severiano Segio a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Piedritas United booed when lanus fc was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Severiano Segio didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 88th minute the ball was on its way in behind lanus fc's goalkeeper Fidel Joseph, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar.
