Old Borrachians's supporters rose to their feet, but Arnaldo Gonsalve was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Genaro Beltran breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After having played for 8 minutes, Arnaldo Gonsalve managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Old Borrachians's supporters crossed their fingers, but Arnaldo Gonsalve was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Genaro Beltran showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Humberto Senio, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. Clodoveo Ubelteso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Filiberto Reynardo in the 16th minute of the match. If Filiberto Reynardo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eloy Checa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Clodoveo Ubelteso having to interfere. With a little luck, Morgan's Genaro Beltran got control of the ball when Arnaldo Gonsalve tried to sneak it across the goal line. 35 minutes into the match, Morgan's Filiberto Reynardo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Clodoveo Ubelteso narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Morgan's Casimiro Cloyo got a free kick in the 35th minute. Arnaldo Gonsalve received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Genaro Beltran tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Humberto Senio came up free with the goalie in the 44th minute, the Old Borrachians fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Humberto Senio couldn't finish the play. If Arnaldo Gonsalve had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Humberto Senio made a kick off. Genaro Beltran showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Humberto Senio, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. In the 55th minute Arnaldo Gonsalve shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Genaro Beltran saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Genaro Beltran stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Arnaldo Gonsalve's shot from short distance in the 68th minute. When Arnaldo Gonsalve came up free with the goalie in the 71st minute, the Old Borrachians fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Arnaldo Gonsalve couldn't finish the play.
