Spectators: 7240 (Terracing: 5432, Seating: 1665, VIP seats: 143) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Ignacio Giraldo started the match with the kick off. Talleres de Cordoba's Celestino Valente proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 4th minute of the match, managed to save Talleres de Cordoba from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ignacio Giraldo in the 8th minute of play forced Rinconada's goalkeeper Elvio Ferdinand to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 11 played minutes Rinconada got a freekick which was hit by Conrado Rayman. Elvio Ferdinand showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Severino Batista in the 12th minute of the match. With a little luck, Talleres de Cordoba's Celestino Valente got control of the ball when Mauro Tolino tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 22nd minute, Delmar Rameriz reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Celestino Valente. The goal made the score 1-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Nunez Urre got free with Celestino Valente in the 26th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 27 minutes into the game, one of Rinconada:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The referee gave Talleres de Cordoba a penalty, 30 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Severino Batista, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Rinconada's Elvio Ferdinand. 1-1. Rinconada's Elvio Ferdinand played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Christian Guillelmus in the 34th minute of play. Mauro Tolino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mauro Tolino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Celestino Valente tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The wind increased when Nunez Urre made the kick off in the second half. Delmar Rameriz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Celestino Valente tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 58th match minute, Rinconada was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Conrado Rayman to maneuver through the defense. Celestino Valente made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nunez Urre in the 61st minute of play. Nunez Urre scored 2-1 in the 63rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Celestino Valente, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After a defensive mix-up in Talleres de Cordoba's zone, Nunez Urre stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Celestino Valente came out of the goal and Nunez Urre tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Delmar Rameriz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 71st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Godofredo Marcones had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Vinicio Belmiro kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 77th minute, Rogelio Frederik managed to get in a good position for a shot. Rinconada's supporters rose to their feet, but Rogelio Frederik was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Celestino Valente breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Delmar Rameriz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 86 minutes into the match, Talleres de Cordoba's goal looked a bit too open when Delmar Rameriz came free, but Celestino Valente reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Osvaldo Bazil's late challenge caught a Rinconada's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Osvaldo Bazil helped the player get up and apologised. In the 87th match minute, Talleres de Cordoba was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Osvaldo Bazil to maneuver through the defense. Ubaldo Gonsalvo kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. Delmar Rameriz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Celestino Valente tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. There was no doubt that Rinconada were the better team. Rinconada's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
