Inocencio Laurgain ran back to his position shaking his head. Tomás Piarres's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 13thth minute, Tiburcio Ubendu skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mateo Clodio in the 16th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Santos Selatse saved Club Atletico Tonomac from getting behind. The supporters of Junín booed when Club Atletico Tonomac was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ovidio Tulio didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Inocencio Laurgain had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tomás Piarres's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Tiburcio Ubendu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 31st minute of play. In the 34th minute, Inocencio Laurgain ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Santos Selatse was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. After a defensive mix-up in Club Atletico Tonomac's zone, Inocencio Laurgain stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Santos Selatse came out of the goal and Inocencio Laurgain tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Mateo Clodio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Arturo Sabino was the one to do the kick off. After a rather tough play, Club Atletico Tonomac's Feliciano Orixe got a free kick in the 55th minute. After 64 minutes, Ovidio Tulio mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Club Atletico Tonomac and the Junín players grew even worse after the yellow card. Ovidio Tulio hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. Santos Selatse made an important save on a dangerous shot by Inocencio Laurgain in the 66th minute. After 82 played minutes Junín got a freekick which was hit by Felix Aritza. 83 minutes into the match, Club Atletico Tonomac's Ladislao Montel broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Tomás Piarres sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Junín's Felix Aritza got a free kick in the 86th minute. Tiburcio Ubendu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arturo Sabino in the 87th minute of play. Tomás Piarres received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Tiburcio Ubendu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 91 minutes into the game, Inocencio Laurgain was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Junín's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Club Atletico Tonomac the free kick. The supporters of Club Atletico Tonomac booed when Junín was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Inocencio Laurgain didn't get a good kick on the ball. Arturo Sabino's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Tiburcio Ubendu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 96th minute of play. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Junín had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
