Apolo Perpinya made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Albano Aurken in the 6th minute of play. Horacio Fonda charged in rather forcefully in the 7th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Horacio Fonda the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Merlo FC getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Horacio Fonda hit a great ball. Albino Evangelista fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gaston Vermudo having to interfere. Apolo Perpinya was out of position in the 17 minute of play, and Albano Aurken capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Albano Aurken really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. After a defensive mix-up in C. A. Los Persas's zone, Aurelio Bonifaco stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Apolo Perpinya came out of the goal and Aurelio Bonifaco tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Merlo FC's Albano Aurken in the 22nd minute got a chance for a shot 22nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye C. A. Los Persas's goalie prevented a goal. Merlo FC's Albano Aurken got a good chance for a goal in the 33rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Los Persas's Ernesto Veronica nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Gaston Vermudo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Gaston Vermudo came out of the goal and Ernesto Veronica tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 58th minute Albino Evangelista shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gaston Vermudo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gervasio Hartz kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. 63 minutes into the game, Merlo FC's Aurelio Bonifaco nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot.
