Spectators: 7185 (Terracing: 5391, Seating: 1652, VIP seats: 142) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Isaac Hegoi kicked off to start the match. The audience was convinced that Aurelio Bonifaco's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Francisco Min was relentless in the 5th minute of the game. Chosmes's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Aurelio Bonifaco was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Aurelio Bonifaco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Francisco Min tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Roque Quintan's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gaston Vermudo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 29th minute of play. Francisco Min stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Albano Aurken's shot from short distance in the 32nd minute. Merlo FC's Gaston Vermudo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 34th minute of the match, managed to save Merlo FC from getting a goal against them. Aurelio Bonifaco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Chosmes players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Merlo FC were winning 0-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Albano Aurken was the one to do the kick off. Merlo FC's Albano Aurken got a good chance for a goal in the 53rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 60th minute, Isaac Hegoi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Francisco Min showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Albano Aurken in the 63rd minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Lázaro Kiliz during the 65th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Merlo FC getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Lázaro Kiliz hit a great ball. Gervasio Lico missed a clear chance of a goal when in the 67 minute of the game fired away a shot, but unfortunally the ball went out to the Gaston Vermudo right hand side. 69 minutes into the match, Merlo FC's goal looked a bit too open when Isaac Hegoi came free, but Gaston Vermudo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Aurelio Bonifaco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 75th match minute, Merlo FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Horacio Fonda to maneuver through the defense. Through an outstanding action, after 86 minutes, Francisco Min successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. After 86 played minutes Chosmes got a freekick which was hit by Eloy Leguizamón. After having played for 87 minutes, Aurelio Bonifaco managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Merlo FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Aurelio Bonifaco was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Gaston Vermudo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Isaac Hegoi in the 89th minute of the match. The supporters of Merlo FC booed when Chosmes was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Segundo Stephen didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 97 played minutes Merlo FC got a freekick which was hit by Horacio Fonda. Merlo FC's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
