Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Albano Aurken in the 28th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Angel Damario prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ladislao Gelmiro hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. Merlo FC's Aurelio Bonifaco got a good chance for a goal in the 35th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Merlo FC booed when Saucecito AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vicente Senen didn't get a good kick on the ball. 42 minutes into the match, Merlo FC's Lázaro Kiliz broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. If Albano Aurken had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Merlo FC played a much better game than Saucecito AFC and deserved their victory. The Saucecito AFC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
