Basavilbaso AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jose Etxekopar was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The nice shot from Jose Etxekopar in the 41stth minute just in front of the goal should have ended in point on the board, but Angel Damario had a great feel for the game and superbly saved the ball from getting in by the left post. Saucecito AFC's Angel Damario proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 43rd minute of the match, managed to save Saucecito AFC from getting a goal against them. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Bernardino Bidari to strike the kick off in the second half. Bernardino Bidari fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Angel Damario having to interfere. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see Basavilbaso AFC lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
