Celedonio Naelio blasted a shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Gaston Vermudo having to make a save. Aurelio Bonifaco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alfred Biskupiak having to interfere. 26 minutes into the match, Merlo FC's goal looked a bit too open when Celedonio Naelio came free, but Gaston Vermudo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Corta con Foul F.C.'s Gaspar Burni got a good chance for a goal in the 34th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Alonzo Eguntsenti came up free with the goalie in the 35th minute, the Corta con Foul F.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alonzo Eguntsenti couldn't finish the play. Merlo FC's Gaston Vermudo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Celedonio Naelio in the 38th minute of play. In the 40th match minute, Merlo FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Romulo Elija to maneuver through the defense. Sulaiman Al Nasser was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 42nd played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. In the 46th minute, Celedonio Naelio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of Corta con Foul F.C. booed when Merlo FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 48 match minutes in a wonderful position. Horacio Fonda didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 49th minute of the match Sulaiman Al Nasser sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Gaston Vermudo skillfully saved the ball. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

When Celedonio Naelio came up free with the goalie in the 53rd minute, the Corta con Foul F.C. fans jumped to their feet. The audience thought a goal was coming when Aurelio Bonifaco got free with Alfred Biskupiak in the 97th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Corta con Foul F.C. were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing Merlo FC to leave the ground with a draw.
