Luzuriaga's Lino Erdiano quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Maximiliano Incendio's late challenge caught a Luzuriaga's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Maximiliano Incendio helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Luzuriaga booed when Paragua FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luzuriaga's Lino Erdiano quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Maximiliano Incendio, made in the 26th minute of the game. With a little luck, Luzuriaga's Francisco Bento got control of the ball when Fidel Fernandez tried to sneak it across the goal line. The supporters of Luzuriaga booed when Paragua FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Maximiliano Incendio didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tobias Aznar in the 34th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cristobal Obano prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Fidel Fernandez recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tobias Aznar in the 42nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cristobal Obano saved Paragua FC from getting behind. When Tobias Aznar came up free with the goalie in the 45th minute, the Luzuriaga fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tobias Aznar couldn't finish the play. Candido Emmanuel hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. After the first half Luzuriaga were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tobias Aznar to make the kick off. If Fidel Fernandez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fidel Fernandez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Francisco Bento having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fidel Fernandez in the 66th minute of play forced Luzuriaga's goalkeeper Francisco Bento to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Desiderio Chepe in the 86th minute of play forced Luzuriaga's goalkeeper Francisco Bento to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 87 minutes into the game, Bernardo Laurgain cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-3. Francisco Bento was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After some fancy dribbling in the 90th minute, Fidel Fernandez managed to get in a good position for a shot. Paragua FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Fidel Fernandez was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Francisco Bento breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Desiderio Chepe recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 91st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 94th minute Fidel Fernandez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Francisco Bento saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
