Spectators: 7220 (Terracing: 5416, Seating: 1661, VIP seats: 143) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Marcelo Clis took the kick off in the first half of the match. Amado Nofre made an important save on a dangerous shot by Arnoldo Abeitia in the 3rd minute. Marcelo Clis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Amado Nofre tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to los locos barretas getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Francisco Garaile hit a great ball. Amado Nofre made an important save on a dangerous shot by Arnoldo Abeitia in the 14th minute. los locos barretas's Virgilio Chus got a good chance for a goal in the 17th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 20th minute of the match, Marcelo Clis tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Amado Nofre saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Virgilio Chus in the 23rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Amancio Rocio saved Rojos F C from getting behind. Arnoldo Abeitia struck a weak shot in the 26th minute. Amado Nofre didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Rojos F C. Amado Nofre stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Marcelo Clis's shot from short distance in the 30th minute. Arnoldo Abeitia recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 39th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 42nd minute of the match, Marcelo Clis tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Amado Nofre saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. If Arnoldo Abeitia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Herminio Haritz to make the kick off. Marcelo Clis's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Amado Nofre read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 58th minute of play. Amado Nofre showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcelo Clis, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. After 63 played minutes Rojos F C got a freekick which was hit by Lino Urti. Rojos F C's Amancio Rocio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Herminio Haritz in the 68th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arnoldo Abeitia in the 76th minute of play forced los locos barretas's goalkeeper Amado Nofre to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Amado Nofre came out of the goal in the 79th minute to try and stop a shot by Rojos F C's Marcelo Clis. But to his dismay, Marcelo Clis quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Marcelo Clis's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Amado Nofre read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 83rd minute of play. Amado Nofre took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Orlando Asier, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rojos F C's Amancio Rocio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Herminio Haritz in the 87th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Marcelo Clis in the 88th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Amado Nofre saved los locos barretas from getting behind. los locos barretas's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
