A collision led to Glorioso Newell´s getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Herminio Bidun hit a great ball. Glorioso Newell´s's Hernan Hegoi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Miguel Lain in the 10th minute of play. Severiano Sesuldo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 18th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Glorioso Newell´s's Herminio Bidun slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Rene Balendin. That made the score 2-0 after 22 minutes of play. A collision led to Glorioso Newell´s getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. German Kemen hit a great ball. 31 minutes into the match, Glorioso Newell´s's goal looked a bit too open when Leonides Teodor came free, but Hernan Hegoi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Abel Raymond charged in rather forcefully in the 34th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Abel Raymond the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Leonides Teodor scored 2-1 in the 38th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Hernan Hegoi, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Glorioso Newell´s's Hernan Hegoi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leonides Teodor in the 43rd minute of play. Rene Balendin made a fantastic save in the 47th minute, when Severiano Sesuldo sent off a good shot on target. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Leonides Teodor was the one to do the kick off. Hernan Hegoi made an important save on a dangerous shot by Miguel Lain in the 54th minute. Rene Balendin came out of the goal in the 55th minute to try and stop a shot by Glorioso Newell´s's Saverio Brion. But to his dismay, Saverio Brion quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. When German Kemen fell near the penalty area in the 64th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Glorioso Newell´s's protests and gave German Kemen a yellow card for diving instead. If Leonides Teodor had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 69 minutes into the match, Glorioso Newell´s's goal looked a bit too open when Leonides Teodor came free, but Hernan Hegoi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 70th minute Severiano Sesuldo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rene Balendin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Leonides Teodor fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hernan Hegoi having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ramiro Enaut during the 78th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Ramiro Enaut hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. When Glorioso Newell´s's Severiano Sesuldo in the 80th minute got a chance for a shot 80th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Palanca FC's goalie prevented a goal. After having played for 84 minutes, Saverio Brion managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Glorioso Newell´s's supporters crossed their fingers, but Saverio Brion was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Hernan Hegoi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leonides Teodor, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 92 played minutes Glorioso Newell´s got a freekick which was hit by German Kemen. For all the effort they put into the match, the Palanca FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Glorioso Newell´s.
