The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Severiano Sesuldo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Herminio Bidun charged in rather forcefully in the 55th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. In the 76th minute of the match Mauro Lordi shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Hernan Hegoi showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. When Saverio Brion came up free with the goalie in the 83rd minute, the Glorioso Newell´s fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Saverio Brion couldn't finish the play. Agustin Cilio stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Severiano Sesuldo's shot from short distance in the 85th minute. Elias Eguen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hernan Hegoi having to interfere.
