After a defensive mix-up in C.A los de siempre's zone, Fabio Frances stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cristian Gentza came out of the goal and Fabio Frances tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to C.A los de siempre getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Benedicto Gaxan hit a great ball. After having played for 9 minutes, Fabio Frances managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Providencia's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fabio Frances was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Cristian Gentza showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Oscar Ricart, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. Oscar Ricart sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Mauricio Jordy fell near the penalty area in the 14th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored C.A los de siempre's protests and gave Mauricio Jordy a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Providencia booed when C.A los de siempre was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mauricio Jordy didn't get a good kick on the ball. Fausto Nerio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Victorino Henric, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. Cristian Gentza made an important save on a dangerous shot by Fabio Frances in the 22nd minute. After a rather tough play, C.A los de siempre's Mauricio Jordy got a free kick in the 22nd minute. Victorino Henric recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 25th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a little luck, C.A los de siempre's Cristian Gentza got control of the ball when Fabio Frances tried to sneak it across the goal line. Fabio Frances sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Fabio Frances had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Oscar Ricart recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Oscar Ricart to strike the kick off in the second half. Cristian Gentza showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fabio Frances in the 51st minute of the match. After 53 minutes of play, Providencia's Oscar Ricart made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Cristian Gentza was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 63 played minutes Providencia got a freekick which was hit by Godofredo Nuno. Tadeo Natal was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 64th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Fausto Nerio didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Victorino Henric went, in the 67th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. 81 minutes into the match, Oscar Ricart had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Cristian Gentza. C.A los de siempre's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Oscar Ricart was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. Cristian Gentza took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Oscar Ricart, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Fabio Frances received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Cristian Gentza tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Oscar Ricart's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Cristian Gentza read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 95th minute of play. Providencia were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of C.A los de siempre for a fine match.
