After 3 played minutes, Barrancas 2019's Lucio Jurdan shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Fausto Nerio came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Barrancas 2019 reached it. In the 5th minute, Ramiro Jaizki got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Leandro Ledesma hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. In the 7th minute of the match Roque Bernat sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Fausto Nerio skillfully saved the ball. Victoriano Eyague charged in rather forcefully in the 15th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Victoriano Eyague the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Victoriano Eyague hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. Roque Bernat took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 16th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Fausto Nerio. Providencia's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. If Ramiro Jaizki had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Aquilino Barea came up free with the goalie in the 20th minute, the Barrancas 2019 fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Aquilino Barea couldn't finish the play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Leandro Ledesma during the 21st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Leandro Ledesma kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. In the 29th match minute, Barrancas 2019 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cristian Quintana to maneuver through the defense. Oscar Ricart fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aristides Rufio having to interfere. Barrancas 2019's Ramiro Jaizki got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Fabio Frances might have been able to make a better finish in the 46th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Aristides Rufio. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Fabio Frances ran back to his position shaking his head. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ramiro Jaizki to make the kick off. Providencia's Fausto Nerio proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 52nd minute of the match, managed to save Providencia from getting a goal against them. In the 54th minute Ramiro Jaizki shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fausto Nerio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Providencia's Fausto Nerio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ramiro Jaizki in the 62nd minute of play. A collision led to Barrancas 2019 getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Lucio Jurdan hit a great ball. 69 minutes into the match, Providencia's Jacinto Martxel broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Ramiro Jaizki's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Fausto Nerio read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 77th minute of play. If Ramiro Jaizki had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 84 minutes into the match, Providencia's Oscar Ricart sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Aristides Rufio narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Aquilino Barea could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 86th minute of the match, but Fausto Nerio made a huge save. After a defensive mix-up in Providencia's zone, Aquilino Barea stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fausto Nerio came out of the goal and Aquilino Barea tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Cristian Quintana lost his temper 91 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. Aristides Rufio went to the wrong direction when Jacinto Martxel was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
