When Ramiro Funes Mori fell near the penalty area in the 7th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Alvear FC's protests and gave Ramiro Funes Mori a yellow card for diving instead. 10 minutes into the game, Pompiliu Iacob was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Alvear FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Rosario Central the free kick. After 10 played minutes Alvear FC got a freekick which was hit by Pompiliu Iacob. In the 12th match minute, Alvear FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pompiliu Iacob to maneuver through the defense. 17 minutes into the game, Norberto Firman lined in a short shot 1-0 behind a frustrated Rosendo Enmanuel. In the 21st minute, Rodolfo Chesus hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ubaldo Hartz got free with Rosendo Enmanuel in the 22nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 23rd minute, Alvear FC's Norberto Firman dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. Rosendo Enmanuel made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ubaldo Hartz in the 29th minute. Uriel Rosalio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Charles Dante tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fernando Demesio hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. With a little luck, Rosario Central's Rosendo Enmanuel got control of the ball when Ubaldo Hartz tried to sneak it across the goal line. Alvear FC's Charles Dante played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jacinto Cordeara in the 44th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Uriel Rosalio in the 48th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Charles Dante prevented the ball from getting in the gole.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jacinto Cordeara was the one to do the kick off. In the 52nd minute, Hipolito Fraco hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 53 minutes into the match, Alvear FC's Florentino Barros broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. When Norberto Firman came up free with the goalie in the 59th minute, the Alvear FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Norberto Firman couldn't finish the play. When the match clock showed 61 minutes, the score became 3-0 when Ubaldo Hartz sped through Rosario Central's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Rosendo Enmanuel. Ubaldo Hartz took the ball and in the 66 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Rosendo Enmanuel. Rosendo Enmanuel dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. 75 minutes into the match, Alvear FC's goalkeeper Charles Dante had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Uriel Rosalio. 77 minutes into the game, Norberto Firman cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-0. Rosendo Enmanuel was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a defensive mix-up in Rosario Central's zone, Ubaldo Hartz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rosendo Enmanuel came out of the goal and Ubaldo Hartz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Rosario Central getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Hipolito Fraco hit a great ball. In the 92ndth minute of the game Ubaldo Hartz who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Rosario Central's Rosendo Enmanuel was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Norberto Firman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Rosendo Enmanuel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
