Jacinto Cordeara hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. After having played for 6 minutes, Genaro Ticho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Providencia AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Genaro Ticho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience was convinced that Genaro Ticho's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rosendo Enmanuel was relentless in the 11th minute of the game. Vladimiro Jakue's late challenge caught a Providencia AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Vladimiro Jakue helped the player get up and apologised. After 13 played minutes Rosario Central got a freekick which was hit by Vladimiro Jakue. After some fancy dribbling in the 15th minute, Genaro Ticho managed to get in a good position for a shot. Providencia AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Genaro Ticho was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rosendo Enmanuel breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Genaro Ticho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 20 minutes into the match, Genaro Ticho notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Rosario Central's Rosendo Enmanuel. Rosendo Enmanuel was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Rosendo Enmanuel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Genaro Ticho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 25 minutes into the game, Vladimiro Jakue recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Baltasar Iraitz. Vladimiro Jakue showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. In the 32nd match minute, Providencia AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edgardo Iratxo to maneuver through the defense. Hernan Checa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Hernan Checa struck a weak shot in the 43rd minute. Rosendo Enmanuel didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Providencia AFC. After some fancy dribbling in the 45th minute, Hernan Checa managed to get in a good position for a shot. Providencia AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Hernan Checa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rosendo Enmanuel breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 47 minutes, Rodolfo Chesus mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Rosario Central and the Providencia AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Rosario Central's Rodolfo Chesus got a free kick in the 47th minute. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Genaro Ticho to make the kick off. After 55 played minutes Rosario Central got a freekick which was hit by Hipolito Fraco. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Genaro Ticho in the 56th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rosendo Enmanuel saved Rosario Central from getting behind. Vladimiro Jakue fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Baltasar Iraitz having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 60th minute, Hernan Checa managed to get in a good position for a shot. Providencia AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Hernan Checa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rosendo Enmanuel breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Hernan Checa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Benito Oriol received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Rosendo Enmanuel came out and tried to block the shot, but Benito Oriol slotted it home off the left post making it 1-2 in the 74th minute. Vladimiro Jakue got his second yellow card in the match during the 77th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Vladimiro Jakue kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. Genaro Ticho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 79th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Rosendo Enmanuel made a fantastic save in the 82nd minute, when Hernan Checa sent off a good shot on target. Hernan Checa could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 84th minute of the match, but Rosendo Enmanuel made a huge save. In the 86th match minute, Providencia AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lisandro Montrell to maneuver through the defense. In the 87th minute, Hipolito Fraco hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Benito Oriol blasted a shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Rosendo Enmanuel having to make a save. In the 95th minute, Hernan Checa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The Rosario Central fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Providencia AFC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
