Hipolito Fraco was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 28 minutes into the match. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 28th minute of the game. One of Rosario Central:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of El Cultural:s goal. In the 30th minute there was a penalty for El Cultural. Laureano Martinez stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Rosendo Enmanuel. 0-2. If Virgilio Argina had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. El Cultural's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
