After a rather tough play, Depo Merlo Oeste's Baldomiro Justin got a free kick in the 3rd minute. Pablo Juvenal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carmelo Eutor in the 9th minute of play. Cayetano Ruy kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. After 13 played minutes Luján got a freekick which was hit by Anselmo Chico. After a defensive mix-up in Depo Merlo Oeste's zone, Sixto Mattin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Baltasar Palban came out of the goal and Sixto Mattin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carmelo Eutor in the 21st minute of play forced Luján's goalkeeper Pablo Juvenal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 22 played minutes Luján got a freekick which was hit by German Aurre. After having played for 23 minutes, Ambrosio Gipuzkoa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Depo Merlo Oeste's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ambrosio Gipuzkoa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Depo Merlo Oeste's Carmelo Eutor got a good chance for a goal in the 26th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to Luján getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Esteban Luix hit a great ball. A hard shot by Esteban Luix from long distance, 30 minutes into the match, got Baltasar Palban's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. The supporters of Depo Merlo Oeste booed when Luján was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. German Aurre didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ambrosio Gipuzkoa struck a weak shot in the 37th minute. Pablo Juvenal didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Depo Merlo Oeste. In the 38th minute Carmelo Eutor shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pablo Juvenal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Carmelo Eutor scored 0-1 in the 46th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Pablo Juvenal, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Sixto Mattin to strike the kick off in the second half. Ambrosio Gipuzkoa kicked a quick shot right in front of the goal in the 52ndth minute. Though ot was a great shot Luján's keeper Pablo Juvenal was sill able to block leaving the score board unchanged. Ambrosio Gipuzkoa let the left foot speak when in front of goal in the 54th minute shot 0-2 at rihgt post. A hard shot 57 in the game by Ambrosio Gipuzkoa from a close distance when the talented Pablo Juvenal managed to make a qualified save. Luján's players were relieved. In the 61st match minute, Luján was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Natalio Fernanco to maneuver through the defense. Ambrosio Gipuzkoa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Cayetano Ruy fell near the penalty area in the 71st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Luján's protests and gave Cayetano Ruy a yellow card for diving instead. In the 73rd minute, Depo Merlo Oeste's Carmelo Eutor ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Pablo Juvenal. Pablo Juvenal yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-3. Luján's Pablo Juvenal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carmelo Eutor in the 75th minute of play. Depo Merlo Oeste's Carmelo Eutor got a good chance for a goal in the 78th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Carmelo Eutor received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Pablo Juvenal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Ambrosio Gipuzkoa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Luján getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Cayetano Ruy hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Luján's zone, Ambrosio Gipuzkoa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pablo Juvenal came out of the goal and Ambrosio Gipuzkoa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Depo Merlo Oeste played a much better game than Luján and deserved their victory. The Luján players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
