Nunez Lore stood somewhat misplaced when Justo Aurre came free in front of goal and shot 2-0 to the left of him in the 36 minute. When Justo Aurre came up free with the goalie in the 40th minute, the Morteros fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Justo Aurre couldn't finish the play. Dario Silban sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Alfredo Monte hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Napenay's zone, Saturnino Lobo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nunez Lore came out of the goal and Saturnino Lobo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Juan Quintin stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ubaldo Aureo's shot from short distance in the 68th minute. Morteros's Justo Aurre got a good chance for a goal in the 74th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In a very dangerous position, a player in Napenay fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 76th minute. Penalty! Saturnino Lobo shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. 81 minutes into the match, Morteros's goalkeeper Juan Quintin had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Dario Silban. After having played for 82 minutes, Ubaldo Aureo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Napenay's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ubaldo Aureo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Justo Aurre fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nunez Lore having to interfere. In the 88th minute, Justo Aurre got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Laureano Beturian hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. In the 91st minute Justo Aurre shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nunez Lore saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 92nd match minute, Napenay was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Erasmo Gelacio to maneuver through the defense. In the 93rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Napenay's goalkeeper Nunez Lore, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Justo Aurre scored 3-0 in the 96th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Nunez Lore, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Morteros fans cheered their team off the field, for while Napenay had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
