Spectators: 6663 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1663, VIP seats: 0) Isidro Ixona made the kick off and thus started the match. 4 minutes into the match, Morteros's goal looked a bit too open when Pascual Ipar came free, but Juan Quintin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Club Atlético Guantánamo booed when Morteros was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Daniel Chuse didn't get a good kick on the ball. Club Atlético Guantánamo's Pascual Ipar got a good chance for a goal in the 6th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Juan Quintin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adrian Bernaldo in the 8th minute of play. 10 minutes into the match, Club Atlético Guantánamo's goalkeeper Higinio Isadore had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Justo Aurre. 11 minutes into the game, Ismael Baraquiel was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Club Atlético Guantánamo's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Morteros the free kick. Ismael Baraquiel hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. 15 minutes into the match, Club Atlético Guantánamo's Adrian Bernaldo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Juan Quintin narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After some careless play in the Club Atlético Guantánamo defense, Justo Aurre kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Higinio Isadore. The Club Atlético Guantánamo fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Higinio Isadore should have stopped the shot. Adrian Bernaldo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Juan Quintin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Juan Quintin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pascual Ipar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Justo Aurre kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. Pascual Ipar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Juan Quintin having to interfere. Juan Quintin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Enrique Montxo in the 32nd minute of the match. Juan Quintin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pascual Ipar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 38th minute Isidro Ixona shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Higinio Isadore saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ismael Baraquiel scored 1-1 in the 43rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Juan Quintin, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Pascual Ipar was the one to do the kick off. Daniel Chuse received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Higinio Isadore tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Pascual Ipar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Juan Quintin having to interfere. Isidro Ixona recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 61st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Pascual Ipar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Juan Quintin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Adrian Bernaldo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Juan Quintin having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Adrian Bernaldo got free with Juan Quintin in the 75th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Pascual Ipar's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Juan Quintin read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 77th minute of play. Higinio Isadore made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Isidro Ixona in the 79th minute of play. Pascual Ipar received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Juan Quintin came out and tried to block the shot, but Pascual Ipar slotted it home off the left post making it 1-2 in the 81st minute. After a rather tough play, Club Atlético Guantánamo's Enrique Montxo got a free kick in the 84th minute. Isidro Ixona received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Higinio Isadore tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Higinio Isadore stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Justo Aurre's shot from short distance in the 87th minute. In the 88th minute of the match, Adrian Bernaldo got a very nice opportunity to score, but Juan Quintin was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. If Pascual Ipar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Club Atlético Guantánamo supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Club Atlético Guantánamo would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
