Gino Renni's Arnulfo Igon proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 37th minute of the match, managed to save Gino Renni from getting a goal against them. If Evaristo Gumaro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Aurelio Chayo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Aurelio Chayo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Aurelio Chayo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Aurelio Chayo couldn't finish the play.
