An unexpectedly hard shot by Dalmacio Caradaro in the 12th minute of play forced Club Atletico San Lorenzo's goalkeeper Fabricio Cristos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jonathan Malvin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paulo Erroman in the 26th minute of play. After 28 minutes Anchorena AFC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Damaso Hitzeder who took care of the corner kick. The corner led Club Atletico San Lorenzo's Damaso Hitzeder to fire away a dangerous shot which Jonathan Malvin despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Dario Chorche sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 32 minutes into the game, Paulo Erroman recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Jonathan Malvin. Paulo Erroman showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. 36 minutes into the game, Saturnino Perpinya was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Club Atletico San Lorenzo's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Anchorena AFC the free kick. Ernesto Pierres struck a weak shot in the 39th minute. Fabricio Cristos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Anchorena AFC. Dalmacio Caradaro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fabricio Cristos having to interfere. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Paulo Erroman to make the kick off. When Ernesto Pierres came up free with the goalie in the 54th minute, the Anchorena AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ernesto Pierres couldn't finish the play. Jonathan Malvin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Paulo Erroman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jonathan Malvin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Paulo Erroman, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. Paulo Erroman hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. 72 minutes into the game, one of Club Atletico San Lorenzo:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The referee gave Anchorena AFC a penalty, 74 minutes into the game. A well-hit corner resulted in Ceferino Miliano heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Anchorena AFC's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
