Nereo Arias could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 9th minute of the match, but Fabricio Cristos made a huge save. After 14 played minutes Selva AFC got a freekick which was hit by Marcelino Brais. In the 15th minute Dario Chorche shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Blas Remir saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Blas Remir took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dario Chorche, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Club Atletico San Lorenzo booed when Selva AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gaspar Efraim didn't get a good kick on the ball. Club Atletico San Lorenzo's Dario Chorche got a good chance for a goal in the 18th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Fabricio Cristos made an important save on a dangerous shot by Nereo Arias in the 20th minute. Club Atletico San Lorenzo's Fabricio Cristos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carlos Egoi in the 26th minute of play. A collision led to Selva AFC getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Marcelino Brais hit a great ball. It was beautiful to see Club Atletico San Lorenzo's Damaso Hitzeder in action when he in the 32nd minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! 33 minutes into the match, Selva AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Dario Chorche came free, but Blas Remir reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 36th minute, Paulo Erroman managed to get in a good position for a shot. Club Atletico San Lorenzo's supporters rose to their feet, but Paulo Erroman was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Blas Remir breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 38th minute of the match, Nereo Arias got a very nice opportunity to score, but Fabricio Cristos was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. If Nereo Arias had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Humberto Felipo hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. After recieving a nice pass, Selva AFC's Teofilo Mannuel tried to score from far away in the 44th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Paulo Erroman to strike the kick off in the second half. Fabricio Cristos stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Carlos Egoi's shot from short distance in the 53rd minute. In the 54th minute, Severino Edwardo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Club Atletico San Lorenzo's zone, Nereo Arias stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fabricio Cristos came out of the goal and Nereo Arias tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In a very dangerous position, a player in Club Atletico San Lorenzo fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 60th minute. Penalty! Fabricio Cristos had in the 62ndth minute some difficulties stopping Teofilo Mannuel's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. After 64 minutes, Lucas Jerrald mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Club Atletico San Lorenzo and the Selva AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. When Selva AFC's Nereo Arias in the 66th minute got a chance for a shot 66th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Club Atletico San Lorenzo's goalie prevented a goal. Fabricio Cristos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nereo Arias, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. Fabricio Cristos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Selva AFC. If Dario Chorche had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match had gone on for 80 minutes, Paulo Erroman took a quick shot and it went in 0-2 without a chance for Blas Remir to make any attempt to save it. After 98 played minutes Club Atletico San Lorenzo got a freekick which was hit by Roque Lano. Nereo Arias fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 100th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fabricio Cristos having to interfere. Club Atletico San Lorenzo's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
