But to his dismay, Rigoberto Bernad quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Cecilio Fernandez made a fantastic save in the 20th minute, when Humberto Frederico sent off a good shot on target. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rigoberto Bernad in the 22nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Arnulfo Igon saved Gino Renni from getting behind. After having played for 25 minutes, Rigoberto Bernad managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ben Hur's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rigoberto Bernad was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Rigoberto Bernad received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Arnulfo Igon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Ben Hur booed when Gino Renni was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Humberto Frederico didn't get a good kick on the ball. Venancio Valiente kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. After 42 minutes, Silvestre Erramun mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Gino Renni and the Ben Hur players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Gino Renni getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Silvestre Erramun hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rigoberto Bernad in the 44th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Arnulfo Igon prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Cecilio Fernandez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Silvestre Erramun in the 46th minute of play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Silvestre Erramun was the one to do the kick off. Rigoberto Bernad struck a weak shot in the 52nd minute. Arnulfo Igon didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ben Hur. Anier Gora fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arnulfo Igon having to interfere. Rigoberto Bernads short, quick shot in the 55thth minute got Arnulfo Igon to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. If Rigoberto Bernad had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Anier Gora struck a weak shot in the 67th minute. Arnulfo Igon didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ben Hur. After some fancy dribbling in the 69th minute, Anier Gora managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ben Hur's supporters rose to their feet, but Anier Gora was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Arnulfo Igon breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Anier Gora sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Mateo Hegoi fell near the penalty area in the 76th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ben Hur's protests and gave Mateo Hegoi a yellow card for diving instead. After 76 played minutes Ben Hur got a freekick which was hit by Mateo Hegoi. Arnulfo Igon made a fantastic save in the 78th minute, when Anier Gora sent off a good shot on target. Rigoberto Bernad struck a weak shot in the 80th minute. Arnulfo Igon didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ben Hur. Gino Renni's Arnulfo Igon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rigoberto Bernad in the 83rd minute of play. Gino Renni's Arnulfo Igon proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 87th minute of the match, managed to save Gino Renni from getting a goal against them. In the 89th minute the ball was on its way in behind Gino Renni's goalkeeper Arnulfo Igon, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Rigoberto Bernad came up free with the goalie in the 91st minute, the Ben Hur fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rigoberto Bernad couldn't finish the play. Rigoberto Bernad received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Arnulfo Igon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Ben Hur booed when Gino Renni was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Celestino Jokin didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match was over Ben Hur could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Gino Renni throughout the match.
