After 13 minutes of play, Manquehue's Luisito Shepherd made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Eusebio Frans was left in no man's land by his defense there! When Eustacio Quirze fell near the penalty area in the 16th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Almafuerte FC's protests and gave Eustacio Quirze a yellow card for diving instead. Manquehue's Aurelio Osoro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Camilo Harkaitz in the 20th minute of play. Luisito Shepherd received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Eusebio Frans tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Manquehue's Federico Montrel got a good chance for a goal in the 31st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Eustacio Quirze was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 43 minutes had been played. After a rather tough play, Almafuerte FC's Eustacio Quirze got a free kick in the 45th minute. The Almafuerte FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Manquehue were winning 0-1.

The wind increased when Leonardo Blanco made the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the match, Manquehue's goal looked a bit too open when Leonardo Blanco came free, but Aurelio Osoro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Aurelio Osoro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leonardo Blanco, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. In the 60th minute, Leonardo Blanco made a precise shot to the right of Aurelio Osoro. Manquehue's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Luisito Shepherd fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eusebio Frans having to interfere. Eusebio Frans made an important save on a dangerous shot by Luisito Shepherd in the 70th minute. Camilo Harkaitz hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. After having played for 76 minutes, Luisito Shepherd managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Manquehue's supporters crossed their fingers, but Luisito Shepherd was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 82 minutes into the match, Almafuerte FC's goalkeeper Eusebio Frans had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Luisito Shepherd. Aurelio Osoro came out of the goal in the 84th minute to try and stop a shot by Almafuerte FC's Camilo Harkaitz. But to his dismay, Camilo Harkaitz quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Leonardo Blanco blasted a shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Aurelio Osoro having to make a save. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Camilo Harkaitz during the 92nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After some fancy dribbling in the 94th minute, Luisito Shepherd managed to get in a good position for a shot. Manquehue's supporters rose to their feet, but Luisito Shepherd was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Eusebio Frans breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Almafuerte FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
