In the 17th minute Everardo Menendo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benito Leoncio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Feliciano Cortez kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Silvio Horado in the 21st minute of play forced Zetta FC's goalkeeper Hermengildo Abaunza to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 25th minute of the match Matias Udalaitz shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Benito Leoncio showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Silvio Horado might have been able to make a better finish in the 28th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Hermengildo Abaunza. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Silvio Horado ran back to his position shaking his head. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Eulalio Playo in the 31st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Hermengildo Abaunza prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Benito Leoncio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hector Gimenez in the 34th minute of play. In the 35th match minute, Club Morbi was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tadeo Maties to maneuver through the defense. Benito Leoncio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Everardo Menendo, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Eulalio Playo in the 40th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Hermengildo Abaunza saved Zetta FC from getting behind. When Eulalio Playo came up free with the goalie in the 44th minute, the Club Morbi fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eulalio Playo couldn't finish the play. Benito Leoncio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hector Gimenez in the 47th minute of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The crowd rose to their feet as Everardo Menendo kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Benito Leoncio. That made the score 1-1 in the 52 minute of play. Silvio Horado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Hermengildo Abaunza tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Feliciano Cortez fell near the penalty area in the 56th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Zetta FC's protests and gave Feliciano Cortez a yellow card for diving instead. Feliciano Cortez hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. Benito Leoncio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Everardo Menendo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Hector Gimenez could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 61st minute of the match, but Benito Leoncio made a huge save. After 65 minutes of play, Zetta FC's Hector Gimenez made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Benito Leoncio was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 68th minute Everardo Menendo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benito Leoncio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Eulalio Playo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hermengildo Abaunza having to interfere.
