The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Daniel Lartaun showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cirilo Calisto in the 20th minute of the match. Juvenil FC were awarded a corner in the 24th minute after Quemquemtreu's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Marciano Odol took the corner. The supporters of Juvenil FC booed when Quemquemtreu was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Filiberto Urtungo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Daniel Lartaun came out of the goal in the 30th minute to try and stop a shot by Juvenil FC's Cirilo Calisto. But to his dismay, Cirilo Calisto quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Through an outstanding action, after 39 minutes, Leandro Ponc successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Andres Vellito's late challenge caught a Quemquemtreu's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Andres Vellito helped the player get up and apologised. Andres Vellito hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. Juvenil FC's Leandro Ponc proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 43rd minute of the match, managed to save Juvenil FC from getting a goal against them. In the 44th minute Cirilo Calisto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Daniel Lartaun saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Delmiro Maureo to strike the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the game, Quemquemtreu's Delmiro Maureo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Leandro Ponc made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Delmiro Maureo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leandro Ponc having to interfere. In the 61st minute Delmiro Maureo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leandro Ponc saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Daniel Lartaun took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cirilo Calisto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Leonel Ibañez during the 65th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 65th minute, Leonel Ibañez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 70 minutes into the match, Quemquemtreu's Marciano Faro sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Leandro Ponc narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Marciano Faro's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Leandro Ponc read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 88th minute of play. After 96 minutes, Delmiro Maureo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Quemquemtreu and the Juvenil FC players grew even worse after the yellow card.
