When Godfredo Hernandez came up free with the goalie in the 9th minute, the Eldorado fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Godfredo Hernandez couldn't finish the play. Trinchera AFC's Nunez Frechoso got his second yellow card of the match in the 12th minute. The referee ordered Nunez Frechoso off the ground. A collision led to Trinchera AFC getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Remigio Oton hit a great ball. Eldorado's Godfredo Hernandez got a good chance for a goal in the 15th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Gaspar Bero struck a weak shot in the 17th minute. When Anacleto Loren fell near the penalty area in the 25th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Eldorado's protests and gave Anacleto Loren a yellow card for diving instead. Anacleto Loren hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Trinchera AFC's zone, Luciano Obeko stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eriberto Fernanco came out of the goal and Luciano Obeko tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Godfredo Hernandez struck a weak shot in the 28th minute. Eriberto Fernanco didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Eldorado. Gaspar Bero could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 35th minute of the match, but Bernardino Ostargi made a huge save. Godfredo Hernandez recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 40th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Eldorado's Erasmo Rainerio got a good chance for a goal in the 42nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Julio Faro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Eriberto Fernanco tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gaspar Bero made a kick off. Natalio Timo's late challenge caught a Eldorado's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Natalio Timo helped the player get up and apologised. In the 52nd minute, Natalio Timo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 53 minutes into the match, Marcelino Lia sent off a long shot that looked like it was going straight into the goal, but because Eriberto Fernanco threw himself in his full length he managed to grip the ball by the left post, and there was no goal for Marcelino Lia this time. Eriberto Fernanco made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Godfredo Hernandez in the 55th minute of play. Trinchera AFC's Eriberto Fernanco played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Godfredo Hernandez in the 59th minute of play. When Bernabe Pudes fell near the penalty area in the 60th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Trinchera AFC's protests and gave Bernabe Pudes a yellow card for diving instead. Bernabe Pudes kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. A hard shot 66 in the game by Godfredo Hernandez from a close distance when the talented Eriberto Fernanco managed to make a qualified save. Trinchera AFC's players were relieved. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Eldorado reached it. The audience thought a goal was coming when Godfredo Hernandez got free with Eriberto Fernanco in the 82nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Luciano Obeko had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 88th minute of the match Marcelino Lia shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Eriberto Fernanco showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The long shot by Marcelino Lia in the 89th minute really tested Eriberto Fernanco's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Godfredo Hernandez struck a weak shot in the 90th minute. Eriberto Fernanco didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Eldorado. Eldorado played a much better game than Trinchera AFC and deserved their victory. The Trinchera AFC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
