Berazategui AFC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Celestino Cugat ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on La Plata's corner Celestino Cugat fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Jaime Cordarrell quite easily take care of the ball.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Florian Vazquez to make the kick off. After 54 played minutes Berazategui AFC got a freekick which was hit by Cecilio Tiso. In the 55th minute the ball was on its way in behind Berazategui AFC's goalkeeper Jaime Cordarrell, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Berazategui AFC's zone, Anier Baudelio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jaime Cordarrell came out of the goal and Anier Baudelio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Anier Baudelio struck a weak shot in the 64th minute. Jaime Cordarrell didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for La Plata. In the 65th minute, Florian Vazquez left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The La Plata fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. After some careless play in the La Plata defense, Leonides Patxi kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Claudio Neto. The La Plata fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Claudio Neto should have stopped the shot. 77 minutes into the match, Berazategui AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Florian Vazquez came free, but Jaime Cordarrell reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 80th minute, Vinicio Santxol managed to get in a good position for a shot. La Plata's supporters rose to their feet, but Vinicio Santxol was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jaime Cordarrell breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Isaac Grabiel kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. 88 minutes into the match, Florian Vazquez had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jaime Cordarrell. Berazategui AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Florian Vazquez was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. After 94 played minutes Berazategui AFC got a freekick which was hit by Ruperto Pabla. Florian Vazquez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jaime Cordarrell having to interfere. La Plata were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing Berazategui AFC to leave the ground with a draw.
