In the 40th minute, Benicio Iratzeder got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Monte FC's Benjamin Giro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Filiberto Frances in the 44th minute of play. If Benicio Iratzeder had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Israel Vincente hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The supporters of Monte FC booed when Alsa AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Baltasar Benvide didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 90th minute, Arnulfo Gabirel got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Prudencio Jaunti's late challenge caught a Alsa AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. One of Monte FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Alsa AFC:s goal. Alsa AFC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
