Gerardo Confesor kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. In the 18th match minute, Monte FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gerardo Confesor to maneuver through the defense. The audience was convinced that Nicolas Menendo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Benjamin Giro was relentless in the 22nd minute of the game. Osvaldo Unai fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benjamin Giro having to interfere. A wasted opportunity for CA Temperley. 41 minutes into the match, Monte FC's Arnulfo Gabirel sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Laureano Erramu narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Nicolas Menendo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Benjamin Giro read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 44th minute of play. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Arnulfo Gabirel to strike the kick off in the second half. Nicolas Menendo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 56th minute. Benjamin Giro was left in no man's land by his defense there! Benjamin Giro stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Nicolas Menendo's shot from short distance in the 64th minute. Benjamin Giro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nicolas Menendo in the 68th minute of play. In the 73rd minute Nicolas Menendo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benjamin Giro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. CA Temperley's Nicolas Menendo managed to work through Monte FC's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Nicolas Menendo dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. After 76 played minutes Monte FC got a freekick which was hit by Leonardo Guzman. Prudencio Jaunti got a throw-in 77 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Maximino Astrada. If Nicolas Menendo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Monte FC's Victorino Castulo got a free kick in the 86th minute. Marcelino Jerico hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. When Prudencio Jaunti came up free with the goalie in the 92nd minute, the Monte FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Prudencio Jaunti couldn't finish the play. In the 95th minute, Hector Tiniebra got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Benjamin Giro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nicolas Menendo in the 96th minute of the match.
