Aristides Tello fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leon Urdaspal having to interfere. Aristides Tello received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Leon Urdaspal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee felt a red card was in order, 34 minutes into the game, when Isidoro Mendez put in a rough tackle. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 33rd minute of the game. One of Los Hornos FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Deportivo Roca C.A:s goal. Feliciano Benvido scored 1-2 in the 39th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Rolando Evarado, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Aristides Tello sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Casimiro Tanio to make the kick off. After 68 played minutes Los Hornos FC got a freekick which was hit by Angelino Montrelle. A collision led to Deportivo Roca C.A getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Aaron Chan hit a great ball. In the 91st minute, Casimiro Tanio fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Deportivo Roca C.A's Rolando Evarado proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 93rd minute of the match, managed to save Deportivo Roca C.A from getting a goal against them. The Los Hornos FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Los Hornos FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
