Lanús FC's Emilio Benvide proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 10th minute of the match, managed to save Lanús FC from getting a goal against them. Emilio Benvide made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ruben Uzuri in the 10th minute. 14 minutes into the game, Beazley FC's Benjamin Vargas nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ramiro Policarpio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Victor Astudillo in the 28th minute of play. Emilio Benvide was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Ruben Uzuri showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 3-0 in the 31 minute of play. When Lanús FC's Dionisio Serafo in the 39th minute got a chance for a shot 39th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Thanks to some nice moves Benjamin Vargas could shoot a difficult shot in the 46th minute, which Emilio Benvide however easily saved by the left post. Victor Astudillo lost his temper 47 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. Victor Astudillo hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Isaac Jerico made a kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Lanús FC's goal looked a bit too open when Benjamin Vargas came free, but Emilio Benvide reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 53 minutes into the match, Pascual Firmin had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Emilio Benvide. Lanús FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Pascual Firmin was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. Lanús FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ruben Uzuri was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 7-0. 73 minutes into the match, Pascual Firmin notched a goal, 8-0, to the right of Lanús FC's Emilio Benvide. Emilio Benvide was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Isaac Jerico recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 80th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Emilio Benvide showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gilberto Montrel, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. After a rather tough play, Lanús FC's Isaac Jerico got a free kick in the 89th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ruben Uzuri in the 91st minute of play forced Lanús FC's goalkeeper Emilio Benvide to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Emilio Benvide didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Pascual Peruxu went, in the 92nd minute, to the upper right corner, 10-0 was the resulting score. Emilio Benvide showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arsenio Gonsalve in the 95th minute of the match. In the 97th minute Gilberto Montrel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emilio Benvide saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
