Gerardo Rey kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. Gabriel Bernat recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 26th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Antonio Cristofol fell near the penalty area in the 27th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored libertador f.c's protests and gave Antonio Cristofol a yellow card for diving instead. Antonio Cristofol hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. Teofilo Atarratze fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ramon Nesto having to interfere. 32 minutes into the match, Club Almagro's goal looked a bit too open when Aquiles Izel came free, but Ramon Nesto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 34 played minutes Club Almagro got a freekick which was hit by Gerardo Rey. With a little luck, libertador f.c's Carlos Maura got control of the ball when Gabriel Playo tried to sneak it across the goal line.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Tiburcio Shepherd to strike the kick off in the second half. libertador f.c's Carlos Maura played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tiburcio Shepherd in the 52nd minute of play. Prudencio Cisco took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 79th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Carlos Maura. libertador f.c's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 81 minutes into the match, libertador f.c's Teofilo Atarratze sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ramon Nesto narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Club Almagro's supporters rose to their feet, but Tiburcio Shepherd was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Carlos Maura breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. libertador f.c walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
