Spectators: 7226 (Terracing: 5421, Seating: 1662, VIP seats: 143) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Silverio Belarmo took the kick off in the first half of the match. After 5 played minutes, Chanchuni's Edelmiro Abaunza shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Alejo Inguma came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Chanchuni reached it. Alejo Inguma made a fantastic save in the 9th minute, when Esteve Rosalio sent off a good shot on target. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Roberto Horado during the 13th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 13 played minutes Timbues FC got a freekick which was hit by Roberto Horado. The supporters of Timbues FC booed when Chanchuni was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Osvaldo Iliana didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Melquiades Chepe came up free with the goalie in the 16th minute, the Timbues FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Melquiades Chepe couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Timbues FC booed when Chanchuni was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leopoldo Eguen didn't get a good kick on the ball. Melquiades Chepe sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Melquiades Chepe recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 23rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Gilberto Olentzaro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Silverio Belarmo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Melquiades Chepe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Roberto Horado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 0-2 became the score in the 36th minute when Silverio Belarmo elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Gilberto Olentzaro came out of the goal in the 40th minute to try and stop a shot by Timbues FC's Melquiades Chepe. But to his dismay, Melquiades Chepe quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. In the 47th minute Melquiades Chepe shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gilberto Olentzaro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Rosendo Xabat to strike the kick off in the second half. Rosendo Xabat sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Melquiades Chepe might have been able to make a better finish in the 55th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gilberto Olentzaro. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Melquiades Chepe ran back to his position shaking his head. 64 minutes into the game, Melquiades Chepe cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-5. Gilberto Olentzaro was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Chanchuni's Gilberto Olentzaro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Silverio Belarmo in the 77th minute of play. Gilberto Olentzaro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Silverio Belarmo in the 81st minute of the match. With a little luck, Chanchuni's Gilberto Olentzaro got control of the ball when Melquiades Chepe tried to sneak it across the goal line.
