Spectators: 7225 (Terracing: 5420, Seating: 1662, VIP seats: 143) Isidro Deunoro made the kick off and thus started the match. When Rosendo Xabat came up free with the goalie in the 3rd minute, the Chanchuni fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rosendo Xabat couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Gilera's zone, Pablo Etxahun stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fausto Abilio came out of the goal and Pablo Etxahun tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Isidro Deunoro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Gilberto Olentzaro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Isidro Deunoro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gilberto Olentzaro having to interfere. In the 12th minute of the match Eustaquio Bilbo shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Gilberto Olentzaro showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 15th minute Jeremias Herrera shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gilberto Olentzaro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Jeremias Herrera had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 20 minutes into the match, Gilera's goalkeeper Fausto Abilio had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rosendo Xabat. Rosendo Xabat sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Isidro Deunoro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 24th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Chanchuni getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Carolo Barrionuevo hit a great ball. Eustaquio Bilbo hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. The supporters of Gilera booed when Chanchuni was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leopoldo Eguen didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jeremias Che's late challenge caught a Gilera's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jeremias Che helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Chanchuni getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Jeremias Che hit a great ball.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Pablo Etxahun to make the kick off. The audience was convinced that Pablo Etxahun's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Fausto Abilio was relentless in the 54th minute of the game. Rosendo Xabat struck a weak shot in the 55th minute. Fausto Abilio didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Chanchuni. After some careless play in the Chanchuni defense, Jeremias Herrera kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gilberto Olentzaro. The Chanchuni fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gilberto Olentzaro should have stopped the shot. After having played for 65 minutes, Rosendo Xabat managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Chanchuni's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rosendo Xabat was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Isidro Deunoro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 70th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 77th match minute, Chanchuni was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leopoldo Eguen to maneuver through the defense. Isidro Deunoro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When Isidro Deunoro fell near the penalty area in the 83rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Gilera's protests and gave Isidro Deunoro a yellow card for diving instead. After 83 played minutes Gilera got a freekick which was hit by Isidro Deunoro. After having played for 91 minutes, Marcelino Maldonado managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Chanchuni's supporters crossed their fingers, but Marcelino Maldonado was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Fausto Abilio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rosendo Xabat, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Gilera had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
