Justo Oroitz hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. In the 15th minute, Celso Perrando left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Eriberto Perez fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. Teodosio Urti's late challenge caught a Chacarita's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Teodosio Urti helped the player get up and apologised. Teodosio Urti hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. Teodosio Urti received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Wilfredo Herauso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 27 played minutes Chacarita got a freekick which was hit by Delmar Emesto. The supporters of Chacarita booed when Eriberto Perez was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arnulfo Mateus didn't get a good kick on the ball. Teodosio Urti might have been able to make a better finish in the 33rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Wilfredo Herauso. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Teodosio Urti ran back to his position shaking his head. 33 minutes into the match, Chacarita's goalkeeper Wilfredo Herauso had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Teodosio Urti. 34 minutes into the match, Chacarita's goal looked a bit too open when Teodosio Urti came free, but Wilfredo Herauso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 37th minute, Nereo Gelacio left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Chacarita fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3. If Feliciano Pudes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-3.

The wind increased when Teodosio Urti made the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Eriberto Perez getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Cesar Oinaz hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Chacarita's zone, Celso Perrando stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Wilfredo Herauso came out of the goal and Celso Perrando tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Bartolo Ixidor made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Feliciano Pudes in the 63rd minute of play. Nereo Gelacio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bartolo Ixidor having to interfere. If Feliciano Pudes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Evelio Endira kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Feliciano Pudes's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Bartolo Ixidor was relentless in the 70th minute of the game. After having played for 75 minutes, Teodosio Urti managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Eriberto Perez's supporters crossed their fingers, but Teodosio Urti was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 76th match minute, Chacarita was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Delmar Emesto to maneuver through the defense. In the 90th minute, Benigno Errando hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. It was beautiful to see Chacarita's Lorenzo Veremundo in action when he in the 92nd minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! The Chacarita players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
