After a defensive mix-up in Fender Sarsfield's zone, Nicanor Ederono stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Esteban Rameriz came out of the goal and Nicanor Ederono tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 31 played minutes Fender Sarsfield got a freekick which was hit by Basilio Tiniebra. Esteban Rameriz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nicanor Ederono, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Esteban Rameriz stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Nicanor Ederono's shot from short distance in the 34th minute. Ivan Enetz struck a weak shot in the 35th minute. Esteban Rameriz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Angostaco FC. After some fancy dribbling in the 40th minute, Nicanor Ederono managed to get in a good position for a shot. Angostaco FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Nicanor Ederono was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Esteban Rameriz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 43 minutes into the match, Fender Sarsfield's goal looked a bit too open when Nicanor Ederono came free, but Esteban Rameriz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The tension between the Fender Sarsfield and the Angostaco FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Angostaco FC booed when Fender Sarsfield was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Basilio Tiniebra didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Fender Sarsfield's Casimiro Inko got a free kick in the 80th minute.
