Eusebio Ospetsu started the match with the kick off. 5 minutes into the match, El Capi Fc's goal looked a bit too open when Venancio Jacindo came free, but Zacarias Bitxintxo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jesus Micael had several of the El Capi Fc's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 6 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-0 score and a disappointed Zacarias Bitxintxo as he didn't even see the shot coming. The supporters of El Capi Fc booed when Yapeyú AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Baltasar Cordarrel didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 13 minutes, Eusebio Ospetsu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. El Capi Fc's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eusebio Ospetsu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Eusebio Ospetsu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Javier Inautzi having to interfere. In the 19th minute of the match, Venancio Jacindo tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Zacarias Bitxintxo saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Zacarias Bitxintxo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Venancio Jacindo in the 26th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Eusebio Ospetsu in the 36th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Javier Inautzi saved Yapeyú AFC from getting behind. Eusebio Ospetsu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Javier Inautzi having to interfere. Zacarias Bitxintxo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Julio Cugat, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. From a short distance, Yapeyú AFC's Venancio Jacindo, in the 47th minute, tried to place the ball behind Zacarias Bitxintxo, but the ball hit the right post on the wrong side and went out. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Venancio Jacindo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Ernesto Ritchie had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Zacarias Bitxintxo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Venancio Jacindo, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. 64 minutes into the match, El Capi Fc's goal looked a bit too open when Venancio Jacindo came free, but Zacarias Bitxintxo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Rene Lucero had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. El Capi Fc's Zacarias Bitxintxo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jesus Micael in the 72nd minute of play. When Ernesto Ritchie fell near the penalty area in the 77th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored El Capi Fc's protests and gave Ernesto Ritchie a yellow card for diving instead. In the 77th match minute, El Capi Fc was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ernesto Ritchie to maneuver through the defense. Zacarias Bitxintxo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Baltasar Cordarrel in the 81st minute of play. If Eusebio Ospetsu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 87 minutes into the game, Eusebio Ospetsu cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Javier Inautzi was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Anastasio Orzaize received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Javier Inautzi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Yapeyú AFC's zone, Eusebio Ospetsu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Javier Inautzi came out of the goal and Eusebio Ospetsu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ernesto Ritchie fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Javier Inautzi having to interfere. Yapeyú AFC succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though El Capi Fc had controlled the match.
