The supporters of Atlanta United booed when El Capi Fc was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ernesto Ritchie didn't get a good kick on the ball. 17 minutes into the match, Atlanta United's goal looked a bit too open when Eusebio Ospetsu came free, but Segundo Libertad reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Zacarias Bitxintxo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cesar Paublo in the 23rd minute of play. Ernesto Ritchie hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Atlanta United's Victoriano Olo got a free kick in the 30th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 47th minute, Cesar Paublo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Atlanta United's supporters rose to their feet, but Cesar Paublo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Zacarias Bitxintxo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Zacarias Bitxintxo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Uriel Pacorro in the 53rd minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 55th minute, Ernesto Ritchie managed to get in a good position for a shot. El Capi Fc's supporters rose to their feet, but Ernesto Ritchie was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Segundo Libertad breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Eusebio Ospetsu might have been able to make a better finish in the 57th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Segundo Libertad. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Eusebio Ospetsu ran back to his position shaking his head. After 62 played minutes Atlanta United got a freekick which was hit by Baltasar Lesardo. Urbano Eneto kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. When El Capi Fc's Eusebio Ospetsu in the 65th minute got a chance for a shot 65th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie.
