An unexpectedly hard shot by Justino Seber in the 12th minute of play forced Panambí FC's goalkeeper Venancio Gasteiz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 17th minute the ball was on its way in behind Panambí FC's goalkeeper Venancio Gasteiz, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 23 played minutes, Zanjón's Urbano Hever shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Venancio Gasteiz came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Zanjón reached it. With 25 minutes on the clock, Hernan Cisco commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. Venancio Gasteiz came out of the goal in the 27th minute to try and stop a shot by Zanjón's Felipe Fliz. But to his dismay, Felipe Fliz quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. With a little luck, Zanjón's Segundo Cordeara got control of the ball when Americo Cambranes tried to sneak it across the goal line. The supporters of Zanjón booed when Panambí FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anselmo Seme didn't get a good kick on the ball. Domingos Ibar hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. After 71 played minutes Panambí FC got a freekick which was hit by Haroldo Torres. If Justino Seber had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Venancio Gasteiz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Justino Seber in the 77th minute of play. Geronimo Chano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Venancio Gasteiz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Zanjón fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3. Geronimo Chano was extremely unlucky when he, in the 92nd minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. When Domingos Ibar fell near the penalty area in the 94th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Zanjón's protests and gave Domingos Ibar a yellow card for diving instead. Domingos Ibar hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. Americo Cambranes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Segundo Cordeara having to interfere. Domingos Ibar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 98th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Zanjón played a much better game than Panambí FC and deserved their victory. The Panambí FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
