In the 15th minute, Ballester FC's Lisandro Arias seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Lisandro Arias the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Ballester FC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Lisandro Arias had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The referee gave Carmen FC a penalty, 17 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Urbano Eleder, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Ballester FC's Honorio Columbo. 0-1. Silverio Mundo hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. In the 25th match minute, Ballester FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carlos Cordario to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Carmen FC booed when Ballester FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carlos Cordario didn't get a good kick on the ball. Carmen FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ballester FC the free kick. In the 38th minute the ball was on its way in behind Carmen FC's goalkeeper Elvio Kepa, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Honorio Columbo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nicasio Goyo in the 42nd minute of play. With a little luck, Ballester FC's Honorio Columbo got control of the ball when Carlos Blai tried to sneak it across the goal line. Silverio Mundo hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. Ballester FC's Honorio Columbo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ladislao Kelemen in the 71st minute of play. Nicasio Goyo charged in rather forcefully in the 74th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. When Hermengildo Claus fell near the penalty area in the 88th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ballester FC's protests and gave Hermengildo Claus a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Carmen FC booed when Ballester FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hermengildo Claus didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ladislao Kelemen blasted a shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Honorio Columbo having to make a save. After a defensive mix-up in Carmen FC's zone, Carlos Cordario stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Elvio Kepa came out of the goal and Carlos Cordario tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Carmen FC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
