Moises Loramendi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gaudencio Roland, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 24 minutes of play, Bourgogne Grand Cru's Isidro Faron made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Isidro Faron to make the kick off. Honorato Jusepe hit a great freekick 50 minutes into the match. Cirilo Sergi's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 52ndth minute, Benigno Pelayo skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Moises Loramendi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gaudencio Roland, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. In the 74th minute, Gaudencio Roland ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Moises Loramendi was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
