The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Leonides Asteri showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Antonio Atarrabi, who was totally free with the ball in the 3rd minute. Antonio Atarrabi might have been able to make a better finish in the 5th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Leonides Asteri. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Antonio Atarrabi ran back to his position shaking his head. After 5 minutes, Ricardo Hermon made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. El Tunel A.C's Leonides Asteri tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 11th minute of the match Severo Txema shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Leonides Asteri showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After 13 minutes, Ricardo Hermon made it 0-2 with a short kick to the right side. El Tunel A.C's Leonides Asteri tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. If Fulgencio Urre had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Apolo Errapel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Regatas SN's zone, Fulgencio Urre stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mateo Sindo came out of the goal and Fulgencio Urre tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 32nd minute, Apolo Errapel managed to get in a good position for a shot. El Tunel A.C's supporters rose to their feet, but Apolo Errapel was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mateo Sindo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 35 minutes into the game, Evelio Ermengol was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Regatas SN's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave El Tunel A.C the free kick. A collision led to Regatas SN getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Evelio Ermengol hit a great ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Apolo Errapel kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Mateo Sindo. That made the score 1-2 in the 40 minute of play. Antonio Atarrabi struck a weak shot in the 46th minute. Leonides Asteri didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Regatas SN. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Apolo Errapel stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Apolo Errapel's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Mateo Sindo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 51st minute of play. When Fulgencio Urre came up free with the goalie in the 54th minute, the El Tunel A.C fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fulgencio Urre couldn't finish the play. Leonides Asteri made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Antonio Atarrabi in the 58th minute of play. Apolo Errapel's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Mateo Sindo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 61st minute of play. After 64 played minutes El Tunel A.C got a freekick which was hit by Nemesio Quico. In the 66th minute Adan Senon managed to get in a great position but fired away a sharp shot that went outside the goal on the goalie's right hand side. It could just as well have been a goal. Ricardo Hermon could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 67th minute of the match, but Leonides Asteri made a huge save. El Tunel A.C's Leonides Asteri played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Antonio Atarrabi in the 74th minute of play. When El Tunel A.C's Apolo Errapel in the 76th minute got a chance for a shot 76th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Regatas SN's goalie prevented a goal. If Antonio Atarrabi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Regatas SN booed when El Tunel A.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Celedonio Baraquiel didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Antonio Atarrabi came up free with the goalie in the 87th minute, the Regatas SN fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Antonio Atarrabi couldn't finish the play. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Regatas SN had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
