In the 23rd minute Filiberto Sarracino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anastasio Isusko saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 40th minute, Primitivo Bautista managed to get in a good position for a shot. Dolores FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Primitivo Bautista was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gerardo Urko breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of Dolores FC booed when Madero FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Moises Flor didn't get a good kick on the ball. Anastasio Isusko took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Filiberto Sarracino, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Dolores FC's zone, Moises Flor stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Anastasio Isusko came out of the goal and Moises Flor tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Alberto Salomone stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Andrés Silvera fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anastasio Isusko having to interfere. When Andrés Silvera came up free with the goalie in the 56th minute, the Madero FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Andrés Silvera couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alberto Salomone in the 60th minute of play forced Madero FC's goalkeeper Gerardo Urko to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alberto Salomone fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gerardo Urko having to interfere.
