Prudencio Frantzes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Marco Reus tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Prudencio Frantzes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match had gone on for 40 minutes, Wilfredo Lauren put it in 2-1 from a short distance just to the right of Marco Reus. After 45 played minutes Club Atletico Rive got a freekick which was hit by Cirilo Pacho. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Hilario Emmanuel was the one to do the kick off. Club Atletico Rive's Marco Reus proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 51st minute of the match, managed to save Club Atletico Rive from getting a goal against them. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Wilfredo Lauren in the 53rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Marco Reus prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 54 minutes into the match, Deportivo Carro Quemao's Prudencio Frantzes sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Marco Reus narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When Aureliano Brion fell near the penalty area in the 57th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Club Atletico Rive's protests and gave Aureliano Brion a yellow card for diving instead. In the 56th minute, one of Club Atletico Rive:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Club Atletico Rive. When the match had been going on for 58 minutes, Deportivo Carro Quemao's Victorio Dei got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Marco Reus. In the 64th minute, Club Atletico Rive's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Prudencio Frantzes fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. 67 minutes in the game, Prospero Frutos dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. The supporters of Deportivo Carro Quemao booed when Club Atletico Rive was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hilario Emmanuel didn't get a good kick on the ball. 75 minutes into the match, Club Atletico Rive's goal looked a bit too open when Wilfredo Lauren came free, but Marco Reus reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 76th minute, Wilfredo Lauren reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Marco Reus. The goal made the score 2-3. In the 81st minute, Hilario Emmanuel got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 83rd minute, Prudencio Frantzes fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Marco Reus, passed just outside the right post. After 87 minutes, Wilfredo Lauren made it 2-4 with a short kick to the right side. Club Atletico Rive's Marco Reus tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. When the match had gone on for 91 minutes, Wilfredo Lauren took a quick shot and it went in 2-5 without a chance for Marco Reus to make any attempt to save it.
