The crowd rose to their feet as Severiano Dorio kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Dario Palos. That made the score 1-0 in the 6 minute of play. 9 minutes into the game, Vicente Pacho was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Altavysta's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Club Atletico River Plate the free kick. The supporters of Club Atletico River Plate booed when Altavysta was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vicente Pacho didn't get a good kick on the ball. The Club Atletico River Plate fans' excitement grew in the 12th match minute when Club Atletico River Plate's Fernando Luar looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. A collision led to Club Atletico River Plate getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Adan Iigo hit a great ball. If Vicente Pacho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. If Venancio Jax had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Vicente Pacho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 28th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 33rd play minutes Vicente Ferdinand shot 3-0, a short shot which went by Dario Palos and just under the crossbar into goal. Altavysta's Dario Palos proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 41st minute of the match, managed to save Altavysta from getting a goal against them. Hector Nalo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Venancio Jax, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

The wind increased when Severiano Dorio made the kick off in the second half. Eulalio Berbiz's late challenge caught a Club Atletico River Plate's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Eulalio Berbiz helped the player get up and apologised. Eulalio Berbiz hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. 55 minutes into the match, Altavysta's goal looked a bit too open when Severiano Dorio came free, but Dario Palos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Genaro Petri fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dario Palos having to interfere. If Fernando Luar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Altavysta's Dario Palos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Severiano Dorio in the 71st minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Miguel Goi during the 72nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Hector Nalo made a fantastic save in the 81st minute, when Venancio Jax sent off a good shot on target. 85 minutes into the game, Severiano Dorio cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-0. Dario Palos was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Venancio Jax might have been able to make a better finish in the 89th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Hector Nalo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Venancio Jax ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 91st match minute, Club Atletico River Plate was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jeronimo Quintun to maneuver through the defense. 94 minutes had been played when some careless play by Club Atletico River Plate's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Leo Kaxen was slow to take the kick. During this time Altavysta's players had a chance to rest. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Club Atletico River Plate had won after a very even match.
